The Transat Café L’Or is under way

The Transat Café L’Or, the major event of the offshore sailing season, is now under way. The Class40s set sail from Le Havre after the Ultims and the IMOCAs.

Intense weather, with variable gusts, marked a start followed by thousands of people. Aina Bauza and Axelle Pillain, aboard Engie – Dessine-moi la High Tech, set off in a compact and highly competitive fleet.

Due to the forecast for the following days, the organisers changed the Class40 route and added a stop in A Coruña until conditions improved. The competition begins in demanding and exciting fashion.
