Aina starts the Round Ireland Race aboard the Class40 MAAP

Aina Bauza started the Round Ireland Race, a race of more than 700 nautical miles around Ireland, aboard the Class40 161 – MAAP.

The crew, made up of Aina Bauza, Sophie Delannoy, Thaïs Le Cam and Alicia De Pfyffer, is one of only two all-female teams in the fleet.

The race began with very light winds and several becalmed periods, causing the fleet to regroup. A demanding adventure with plenty of offshore sailing and many challenges ahead.
