Aina Bauza<\/strong> has been selected for the prestigious Cap Pour Elles 2025<\/strong> scholarship to compete in the Transat Caf\u00e9 l’Or<\/strong>, one of the most demanding transatlantic races aboard a Class40<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The team formed by Aina Bauza and Caroline Boule<\/strong> was the most voted by the public, receiving over 1,900 votes on YouTube<\/strong>, and also had the support of the scholarship jury<\/strong>, which recognized their talent, determination, and trajectory in ocean sailing.<\/p>\n

Aina’s campaign to obtain this scholarship has received great media support, with coverage onTVE 1<\/b><\/a>, <\/b>la Cope<\/b><\/a>, <\/b>Forbes<\/b><\/a>, <\/b>Diario de Mallorca <\/b><\/a>, and \u00daltima Hora<\/strong>, helping to raise awareness of her project and strengthen her candidacy.<\/p>\n

With this initiative, the Transat Caf\u00e9 l’Or<\/strong> organization aims to provide financial and sporting support to women in their ocean racing careers. This represents a significant opportunity, as only two women are selected each year to receive this support and compete in one of the toughest races on the circuit.<\/p>\n

Aina is still looking for sponsors<\/strong><\/h3>\n

With this opportunity, Aina embarks on a new challenge towards the Transat Caf\u00e9 l’Or 2025<\/strong>, for which there is still a long road ahead in terms of training, preparation, and sponsorship<\/strong>, as the scholarship only finances part of the project.<\/p>\n

The Team<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Aina will not face this challenge alone. She is teaming up with Caroline Boule<\/strong>, with whom she shares a story of friendship and sailing that began in 2021 at Lake Garda<\/strong>, during the International Moth World Championship<\/strong>. Since then, both have followed parallel paths in the Mini 6.50 class<\/strong>, and today, they hold transatlantic world records<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

  • Caroline Boule<\/strong> made history on July 24, 2024<\/strong>, by breaking the 24-hour Mini record<\/strong>, sailing 322.7 nautical miles<\/strong> under the Nicomatic<\/strong> flag.<\/li>\n
  • Aina Bauza<\/strong> became the first person in Spain to set a solo sailing world record<\/strong> in 2024<\/strong>, after completing 8,300 km across the Atlantic in 30 days<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Both share the same dream: to sail solo around the world<\/strong>.
